Boyd HR - Michael Boyd

Michael is a science graduate and spent the early years of his career working in Multinational Pharmaceutical, Electronic & Medical Device Industries, where he held a number of positions in Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Training & Development and Human Resources.

In 1999 Michael identified an opportunity in the marketplace to provide HR on an outsourced basis to SME’s that could not justify having dedicated HR Professionals. Today, Boyd HR employs five Staff in the provision of this service to over forty Client Companies in the North West.

Michael is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), an Associate Lecture with the National College of Ireland and is past President of the Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He is also a member of IBEC and the Small Firms Association.

Michael has over 23 years’ experience in the field of HR and is passionate in the delivery of value-added HR services to Client Companies and making them healthy, high-performing, fully-functioning and sustainable organisations.

Nicola Gallagher

Account Manager

Nicola joined Boyd HR in February 2019. Nicola studied Business in the LYIT and obtained a Diploma in Employment Law in 2016.

Nicola has experience working in many different industries and in particular Retail and Hospitality. She has over 10 years Management and Human Resources experience.

Nicola is a very precise, conscientious and cooperative individual who organises and plans in such a way as to be ready for as many contingencies as possible that Clients may have.

In her free time Nicola enjoys reading, walking and spending time with family and friends. 

Sabrina Price

Account Manager

Sabrina joined Boyd HR in June 2017. Sabrina studied Computing in the LYIT. She has a CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Management and is an associate member of the CIPD. In 2016, Sabrina obtained a Diploma in Employment Law.

Sabrina has spent almost 20 years working in the Retail industry, where she progressed to become a Retail Manager and gained a Certificate in Retail Management. She has spent over 12 years working in Management roles with large and small companies in different industries, particularly fashion and health & beauty.

She studied Human Resource Management in 2012 and since then has held roles as Training Manager, HR Assistant and HR Manager.

Sabrina enjoys helping businesses get the most from their teams by looking at people development, problem solving and employee engagement. She likes to be organised and likes to set goals and targets to keep focused.

In her spare time, Sabrina enjoys spending time with family and friends. She enjoys eating out and she likes to keep fit by attending classes and running.

Aoibhinn Boyd

Business Development

Boyd HR - Aoibhinn

Aoibhinn Boyd has worked with Boyd HR since 2009. Aoibhinn studied Psychology in University of Ulster, Magee and in 2016 she completed a diploma in Employment Law.

Aoibhinn is very people focused and compassionate – she prefers a ‘hands-on’ approach with Client Companies, concerned with aligning the individual morale and development needs of staff together with the Company Strategy.

After a number of years advising Clients and managing Client Accounts, Aoibhinn has taken on an exciting new role in Business Development – furthering Boyd HR’s presence in South and West Donegal, Leitrim and opening a new Office location in Sligo Town in min 2019.

In her free time Aoibhinn enjoys watching documentaries, exercising and cooking.

Workplace Investigations

Phillip Gillespie

Boyd HR - Phillip

Philip spent 30 years with An Garda Siochana, 9 of which were with detective branch. He was an Incident Room manager overseeing the investigation of Serious Incidents.

He was also a member of the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors (AGSI), and was selected as an advocate for the association, representing its members in workplace investigations. He has undergone extensive training in investigation and Industrial Relations.

He has vast investigative experience and has undertaken numerous workplace investigations, both as a member of An Garda Siochana and with Boyd HR.

Philip is analytical in his approach to investigations and possesses the necessary interpersonal skills, knowledge and expertise to manage complex and challenging investigation.
