Michael is a science graduate and spent the early years of his career working in Multinational Pharmaceutical, Electronic & Medical Device Industries, where he held a number of positions in Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Training & Development and Human Resources.

In 1999 Michael identified an opportunity in the marketplace to provide HR on an outsourced basis to SME’s that could not justify having dedicated HR Professionals. Today, Boyd HR employs five Staff in the provision of this service to over forty Client Companies in the North West.

Michael is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), an Associate Lecture with the National College of Ireland and is past President of the Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He is also a member of IBEC and the Small Firms Association.

Michael has over 23 years’ experience in the field of HR and is passionate in the delivery of value-added HR services to Client Companies and making them healthy, high-performing, fully-functioning and sustainable organisations.

Lucinda Gibson-Carson

Lucinda Gibson-Carson has worked with Boyd HR since July 2011. Lucinda has a Bsc (Hons) Degree in Business Studies with Human Resource Management Specialism and an MSc in International Business.

Lucinda has both lived and worked in various parts of the UK, Ireland and Denmark, and has experience in working with and managing people from various international, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. In a varied working career Lucinda has gained experience in customer facing roles in retail, hospitality, catering, sales, and in management roles in hospitality, training/education and Human Resources.

Lucinda has a very analytical and systematic approach to business and thrives on relational interaction, problem solving and compliance. She is also an avid reader and ensures that she is up to date in her relevant field of literature.

In her free time Lucinda enjoys reading and travelling. She has also volunteered as a leader in children’s and youth camps, and initiated, organised, participated in, led and delivered voluntary events for charity.

Emer McLaughlin

Emer joined Boyd HR in 2016 after having lived and worked in Australia for over 5 and a half years. She possesses a BA (Hons) Degree in Business, Finance & Investment and has over eleven years experience in the Customer Service Industry, which includes roles in hospitality and insolvency.

Emer’s role at Boyd HR is a Human Resource Administrator, who provides professional and compliant administrative support to the team, which ensures the efficient and effective delivery of a high quality service to all of our clients.

Emer has a very logical approach, as she looks at the pros and cons when making decisions. She is a very precise, conscientious and co-operative individual who organises and plans in such a way as to be ready for as many contingencies as possible.

In her free time Emer enjoys reading, exercising, travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Sabrina Price

Sabrina joined Boyd HR in June 2017. Sabrina studied Computing in the LYIT. She has a CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Management and is an associate member of the CIPD. Last year Sabrina obtained a Diploma in Employment Law.

Sabrina has spent almost 20 years working in the Retail industry, where she progressed to become a Retail Manager and gained a Certificate in Retail Management. She has spent over 12 years working in Management roles with large and small companies in different industries, particularly fashion and health & beauty.

She studied Human Resource Management in 2012 and since then has held roles as Training Manager, HR Assistant and HR Manager.

Sabrina enjoys helping businesses get the most from their teams by looking at people development, problem solving and employee engagement. She likes to be organised and likes to set goals and targets to keep focused.

In her spare time, Sabrina enjoys spending time with family and friends. She enjoys eating out and she likes to keep fit by attending classes and running.

Aoibhinn Boyd

Boyd HR - Aoibhinn

Aoibhinn Boyd has worked with Boyd HR since 2009. Aoibhinn studied Psychology in University of Ulster, Magee and in 2016 she completed a diploma in Employment Law.

Having lived in Dublin, Derry and New York and with a large percentage of her peers living and working abroad, Aoibhinn considers herself to be a cheerleader of Donegal and the North-West. Her main goal for 2017 is to create a platform enticing ‘young talent’ back to Donegal after years of emigration due to the 2008 recession.

Aoibhinn facilitates the Social Media and Accounts functions of the business.

In her free time Aoibhinn enjoys watching documentaries, exercising and cooking.

Workplace Investigations

Phillip Gillespie

Boyd HR - Phillip

Philip spent 30 years with An Garda Siochana, 9 of which were with detective branch. He was an Incident Room manager overseeing the investigation of Serious Incidents.

He was also a member of the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors (AGSI), and was selected as an advocate for the association, representing its members in workplace investigations. He has undergone extensive training in investigation and Industrial Relations.

He has vast investigative experience and has undertaken numerous workplace investigations, both as a member of An Garda Siochana and with Boyd HR.

Philip is analytical in his approach to investigations and possesses the necessary interpersonal skills, knowledge and expertise to manage complex and challenging investigation.
